Full Job Description

This role has an hourly salary of £36.64 per hour, plus an additional annual leave allowance. In Surrey Fire and Rescue we are committed to fostering a positive working culture and ensuring the well-being of our staff. We are looking for a dedicated professional to lead our Service Investigation and Occupational Health collaboration and manage the initiatives. The team is based in our offices in Woodhatch Place in Reigate. We promote agile working as a team, and we split our time between working from home and working in the office.   • About the role In this position, you will be responsible for leading and managing service investigations to address and resolve issues within the organisation. You will also work closely with Occupational Health provision to ensure the well-being and productivity of staff and maximise the effectiveness of the Occupational Health offer. Part of your role will involve developing and implementing policies that support a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment. You will engage with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes, with a focus on a collaborative approach to well-being Additionally, you will lead a small team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, while managing the budget for service investigations and occupational health initiatives.

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive experience in service investigation and occupational health management.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local government practices, including financial and political processes.
