Full Job Description

  • To lead and operationally manage the adults social work service based at CPFT.
  • To undertake and fulfil delegated statutory duties and functions under a Section 75 PartnershipAgreement with Peterborough City and Cambridgeshire County Councils (NHS Act 2006 and NHS Bodies and Local Authorities Partnership Arrangements Regulations 2000
  • Manage delivery of high quality, effective and efficient statutory social work services responding to working-aged adults with mental ill-health needs, that meets legislative requirements, local policies and procedures, and national best practice guidance
  • Line manage the SW Team managers in CCC & PCC including the AMHP Team Manager
  • Actively monitor financial performance to meet identified budgets, participate in annual budget setting processes with local authority colleagues; and provide accurate exception reports, and action plans to mitigate and manage risk when required
  • Hold responsibility for the management of risk; including the timely identification of safeguarding adults' concerns, completion of S42 Enquiries and organisational risk in terms of the standards of operational social work service delivery
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of the social work service, organisational strategy, and policy
  • To work in positive and pro-active collaboration with the Trust Professional Lead for Social Work to deliver the principle aim and objectives of the current and any future Mental Health Section 75 Partnership Agreement
