Our key priority in the next year will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Out of Hospital Strategy.

Please note that all vacancies will be subject to a 6 months' probation period in line with the Probation Policy., The London Commercial Hub are hosted by NEL ICB and provide a high quality Procurement and Contracting service to other London ICBs and NHS England. The team has a strong reputation for high standards of delivery to it's clients and stakeholders and are looking to recruit additional colleagues to an already successful team.
Our experienced team offer support at all stages of the procurement and contracting process, including:
- Market analysis and development - benchmarking; developing and implementing strategies to stimulate the provider market.
- Healthcare procurement - strategic procurement advice and delivery, compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, implementation of customer commissioning strategies through appropriate market interventions.
- eProcurement service which supports the purchase and sale of supplies, equipment, works and services
- The technology is designed to centralise and automate interactions between an organisation, customers, and other value chain partners to improve speed and efficiency of procurement practices.
- Contract negotiation - negotiation strategies, supporting the negotiation process and contract documentation design.
This role leads on strategic delivery within the team and heads up key portfolio's of strategic and operational work on behalf of the NHS London Commercial Hub Director/Associate Director and/or other Hub Team members as required, both internally and externally., As part of the NHS London Commercial Hub, provide leadership to the procurement team and functions, including:
+ Being responsive and visible as the professional and service lead for procurement, interfacing with customers and internally within the ICB providing strategic procurement advice.
+ Ownership, management, negotiation and governance of all procurement activity conducted on behalf of customers
+ Lead assurance processes so that all procurement is undertaken professionally and delivered to a high standard and in line with all national, EU policies and regulations
+ Lead change programmes such as consolidating the procurement and contracting teams into a single service. This will be characterised by a single set of governance and processes.
+ Lead and motivate a diverse team ensuring it is commercially focused, operates to best practice and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.
+ Develop the Procurement Service leadership capacity and plan for post-holder succession.
+ Raise the profile and awareness of procurement services within the ICB and its stakeholders and use this to build business development opportunities.
+ Proactively develop the service into a sustainable and commercial function
