Full Job Description

We have a vacancy for a Head of Supply Chain Management at PoGo Charge. The HSCM will oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, with a strong focus on procurement, logistics, and warehouse management. The successful candidate will drive cost efficiencies, negotiate with suppliers, manage terms, and reduce working capital. This role requires a proven leadership and operational excellence track record in supply chain management. The role will be Home Based, with regular travel across the country for client meetings and meetings with the team in London.,

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure the best terms, pricing, and quality
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products
  • Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve service levels
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline logistics processes
  • Implement best practices in logistics management to enhance overall supply chain performance
  • Manage warehouse operations to ensure optimal inventory levels, accuracy, and storage efficiency
  • Develop and implement warehouse management systems and processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within warehouse operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and reduce operational costs
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and warehousing
  • Monitor and manage supply chain budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets
  • Analyse and report on key metrics to track cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality of materials
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with our standards
  • Negotiate favourable contract terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Optimise inventory levels to reduce working capital without compromising service levels
  • Implement strategies to improve cash flow through effective supply chain management
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align supply chain activities with financial goals
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve high performance and professional growth
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain
  • Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on procurement, logistics, and warehouse management
  • Proven track record of driving cost reduction, supplier negotiations, and working capital optimization
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Right to work in the UK
