Head of Technology

Digital Infrastructure Management:

• Ensure secure connectivity for all nurseries and administrative offices.


• Integrate IT infrastructure for new locations with operations and property teams.


• Standardize and audit IT policies across branches.


• Monitor and manage network performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.


• Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.


Data, Security, and Compliance:

• Serve as Data Protection Lead/Officer, enforcing data security policies and procedures.


• Ensure compliance with GDPR and Cyber Security Plus standards.


• Conduct security audits and risk assessments, providing training and action plans.


• Oversee employee access controls and user permissions, conducting regular audits.


Operational Planning and Execution:

• Support the Digital Transformation Programme, aligning digital infrastructure with business goals.


• Lead new IT projects, creating plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion.


• Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.


• Develop and manage IT budgets with the Director of Infrastructure.


Vendor Management and Internal Customer Support:

• Manage relationships with external vendors and assist branches with IT-related issues.


• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements, maintaining a contract repository.


• Source IT hardware, negotiate pricing, and maintain the IT Asset Register.
  
  You are an experienced IT professional with leadership qualities ready to take ownership of our IT operations as our first ever Head of Technology. This role offers the chance to build and lead the IT function, and, driving strategic growth and innovation., Senior-level IT experience, preferably in a multi-site business.


• Qualification in Technology, Computer Science, or MIS, or equivalent experience. Project Management qualification is desirable.


• Proficient in data governance, security practices, and compliance standards.


• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, customer focus, and communication skills.
