You will coordinate input DfT input into a wide range of cross-government and cross-border initiatives identifying and pursuing priorities for our sectors, including border digitalisation efforts with the Home Office and Border Force, while developing vital relationships across government in a challenging and impactfull position. Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

  • Act as the single point of authority for DfT's development and input into the Government's current and future border strategies.
  • Leading and influencing policy development in a number of complex areas, spanning both DfT, wider Government and international policy, ensuring that DfT interests are considered.
  • Monitoring and horizon scanning for upcoming border changes, making assessments on the level of impact and risks to DfT interests/stakeholders.
