Head of Vocational Skills and Apprenticeships

In response to increasing learner numbers and the expansion of our provision offer we are strengthening our management team so that it effectively leads the organisation through a challenging but exciting phase of growth and development. As part of this process, we are recruiting for a Head of Vocational Skills and Apprenticeships to oversee the delivery of our contracted provision. The post holder will manage a team of tutors, trainers, and assessors and ensure the effective day to day delivery of all organisation programmes. S/he will work to ensure that we meet our targets regarding learner volumes, achievement, and progression. Key duties include:

• Planning of provision delivery
• Monitoring of KPIs and prompt intervention to address identified concerns
• Performance management of staff ensuring effective support arrangements are in place.
• Liaison and provision of information/reports to funding bodies
• Provision of data and reports to senior management
• Working with the Head of Quality to ensure compliance with teaching and curriculum standards and awarding body requirements
• Ensuring compliance with funding body audit requirements
• Acting as second Ofsted nominee
  
  The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have significant experience of managing the delivery of post-16 education and training, including apprenticeships. Experience of working with NEET young people and managing employability provision is also desirable. We are looking for some one with sound knowledge of funding organisation compliance and audit requirements and experience of effectively managing a team of delivery staff. Knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework is essential as is a high level of proficiency in producing, analysing and presenting data.

We expect the successful candidate, therefore, to demonstrate a willingness to take on new responsibilities and embrace development opportunities. PLEASE NOTE - THIS ROLE IS COMPLETELY FACE TO FACE WITH THE POST HOLDER WORKING ACROSS OUR ENFIELD AND COLINDALE SITES. IT WILL HAVE NO REMOTE OR HYBRID ASPECTS.
