Woodlands School, is an all-age broad-spectrum special school based in Coleshill, Warwickshire. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. We believe in fostering the potential of every student and working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young learners. We are an integral part of Unity MAT, which is a small, ambitious trust comprising of ourselves and 2 other similar special schools. Our collaborative working means that we have a shared understanding of the challenges and issues that our schools face and can work together to find solutions. The schools are supported by a strong Core Team who provide dedicated support services across the Trust. Due to the retirement of our current Head Teacher, we are seeking an inspirational and experienced Head Teacher to lead our dedicated team of staff and continue to develop our school into a centre of excellence in special education. What we need: We are seeking a proven, inspirational leader with the vision, knowledge and experience to oversee the operational, educational, and strategic direction of the school. You will have demonstrable experience of working with pupils with a range of complex needs, curriculum development/delivery and the current Education Inspection Framework. You will also ensure the school operates in compliance with all statutory requirements and regulations, including safeguarding and health and safety standards. You should share our ambition for every child to achieve their full potential regardless of the complexity of their needs, in addition to having: · a collaborative approach to being part of an ambitious Trust · the ability to work strategically as part of the Trust's Executive Leadership Team · a vision for the future development of the school · the skills to lead, motivate and inspire by being a visible leader · the ability to deliver a diverse curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils · an outward facing approach in order to build and develop relationships and partnership working · excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, resilience and a positive attitude.
