Wings School Notts (Ofsted Good 2023) is a specialist primary and secondary day school which also has children's homes on site. Wings supports children with autism and associated needs, social, emotion and mental health needs (SEMH) and specific learning difficulties which can affect their behaviour, understanding and educational development. We understand that we are the start of their journey, and we can help build foundations for the future. We look at the needs of each individual young person and find the most appropriate educational and residential option for them. A day in the life of a Head Teacher: As a motivated and innovative leader, you will demonstrate a passion for building positive learning and working environments characterised by strong relationships, trust and respect amongst staff, learners, parents and carers. You will lead an innovative and creative curriculum across the school that delivers quality outcomes for all learners. You will ensure the school makes the best possible use of resources and you will develop and maintain the school's self-evaluation framework which clearly identifies strengths and areas for development. You will deliver a programme of enrichment opportunities, working in partnership with other agencies in providing for the academic, health, social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of children. Together with the Principal, you will lead the management responsibility for staff, resources, student attendance, parental concerns or complaints and health and safety on site. You will foster and role model a culture of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that every child's needs are met. What Kedleston Group offers you:

    Hold QTS (or QTLS), a degree and NPQH. (Qualification in SEND education desirable).
  • Have substantial, demonstrable leadership and management experience in a SEN school and of developing and managing staff teams.
  • Have recent experience of successfully leading schools through Ofsted inspections and ISS requirements
  • Have experience of Involvement in school self-evaluation and development planning
  • Be able to commute to Wings School Notts.
