Full Job Description

This role involves working in the Neurology team to coordinate the care and management of the patients along clinical pathways. Working in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient service. To be responsible for maintaining the referral to treatment tracker for the Neurology department and be able to communicate effectively with the Outpatient appointments team and the Senior Operational Manager. Assisting in the development of new services within the department and coordinating the set up of these with the assistance of the SOMs and Consultants. To be the primary contact for patient queries regarding prescriptions. To use own initiative and work without immediate supervision. The post holder is required to maintain the Trust's values and core standards and to lead by example.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to work in this busy department. The post is to ensure patients' pathways are monitored and kept up to date and to be a primary point of contact for the patient. The post is interesting and varied and requires the ability to work as a member of a team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate good effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, work methodically under pressure, have the ability to work using your own initiative plus the ability to work as a member of a team.
