Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our Headache Disorder Clinical Nurse Specialist workforce.Headaches are one of the most common Neurological conditions, presented to GP's and Neurologist's, with NHS England reporting an annual increase in hospital admissions for Headache's and Migraines.The Headache Nurse will be involved in a range of clinical responsibilities, positively contributing towards the experience of the patient with Headache Disorders. Following training, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will work as part of a clinical team supporting inpatient activity, hot clinics and training within the organisation, as well as outpatient activity. You will provide assessments and treatments for Headache disorders, whilst monitoring the patients response to treatment.,

  • A high profile, accessible and responsive leader with clinical responsibilities for a defined group of patients
  • Able to make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice to ensure agreed standards, objectives and targets are met.
  • To maintain a professional attitude at all times, developing the role of the nurse in the best interests of the patient and profession in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
  • To integrate into the existing clinical structure and to support other professionals to manage the patients.
  • To promote effective communication with all members of the multiprofessional team in relation to management of the patients.
  • To act as a role model for members of the multiprofessional team in the expansion of practice to manage the patients., to building an organisation that makes full use of the talents, skills, experience, and different perspectives available in our diverse society.
