Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Careers Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled student to be our Event Photographer for two upcoming Week 6: Unlock Your Potential events related to LinkedIn. An example of the event descriptions can be found here. In this role, you would have two main responsibilities. The first would be taking professional headshots of students as part of the LinkedIn pop-up career events, that can be sent on to each student after the event to use in their personal LinkedIn profile pages. Secondly, you would also be responsible for capturing high-quality photographs of the wider pop ups themselves. The content you create may be used for future promotional materials on various platforms and outputs, including for mobile devices and website images.,

  • Capture high-quality photographs of event activities.
  • Edit photos to produce polished, professional content.
  • Communicate effectively with attendees and careers staff to capture candid and posed shots.
  • Manage and organise digital files for easy access and use post-event.
  • Event Dates: Tuesday 5 November and Thursday 7 November 2024 Event Times: 11.30am-1.30pm on each day Editing time: up to 2 additional hours for each event (to be completed within a week of each event) Please note that equipment will not be provided for this role, so please ensure you have access to a DSLR or mirrorless camera and an SD card/cards.   • Proficiency in photography, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience.
  • Confidence with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
  • Ability to edit images and videos using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with attendees and staff.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills to document and keep track of photos.
  • Access to relevant equipment, including a camera/cameras, SD cards for files, a computer, and editing software.
  • Confident and proactive.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in headshot and/or event photography.
