Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Health Advice Officers to join our friendly Health Advice team who create trusted health information to empower everyone with a lung condition to live well. All our health information is developed using the latest evidence and with the support of people with lung conditions and healthcare professionals.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

As Health Advice Officer, you will support our Health Advice team to produce high-quality, clinically accurate, and accessible health advice content for people living with lung conditions. You'll support our Health Advice Editors to write, edit and proofread digital and print health advice. You'll also be responsible for uploading health advice content to the Asthma + Lung UK website and ensuring our webpages offer a good user experience., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter. We'll aim to resolve the reported issue and we'll use your feedback to improve the quality of our ads.

This is an excellent role for someone with strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills, who can create clear and engaging digital and print content in plain English. You'll have strong digital skills which you will use improve the user experience on our website, gather and monitor performance of our content. You'll be organised and able to manage competing priorities, you'll be a strong team player who can build and maintain effective working relationships.
