Full Job Description

This post holder will work as part of a countywide sexual health team in providing locality based Integrated Sexual Health and Health advising.

To act as health adviser champion within the countywide team clinic in the absence of senior members of the nursing team.

To contribute to the development of an integrated sexual health service and implement service improvements., To be responsible for managing individual patient consultations within a legal and ethical framework, in line with clinical governance and professional accountability.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking detailed sexual and social histories to assess, plan/implement and evaluate an evidenced based programme of care. Be responsible for considering lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, in addition to supporting, counselling, or referring clients for medical advice as appropriate. To ensure involvement, as appropriate with the patient, family, carers and significant others.
