We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking specialist nurse to join our Health Advisor/ Clinical Nurse Specialist team. Based in Slough, we are a busy level 3 sexual health service, with additional satellite clinics in Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot, and Bracknell and we operate Monday to Friday, with one Saturday shift every 4 to 6 weeks. Given the sensitive nature of the role, we are looking for candidates who are open-minded, non-judgmental, and capable of working in a highly confidential environment. Previous experience in family planning or sexual health within a GUM setting is desirable. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll have access to excellent training opportunities, including non-medical prescriber training. Every day is different, with a variety of cases including STI testing and treatment, HIV care, and contraception services therefore offering you a chance to grow and refine your skills. We also prioritise our employee's wellbeing, offering some of the best resources to support you. Our Trust values diversity and fosters an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver a high standard of sexual reproductive healthcare to patients accessing the sexual health service. · Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, non-judgmental care, while upholding professional and ethical standards. Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members. · Manage pathology results, ensuring patients receive accurate information, advice, treatment, and support following an STI diagnosis. · Supervise and mentor junior staff and nursing students, taking on an active leadership role within the nursing team. · While primarily based at the Garden Clinic in Slough, you may need to travel to clinics in Bracknell, Windsor, and Maidenhead. A UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes is desirable. Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health and community health services trust.
