The Health Business Centre (HBC) is an integral and key element of the Suffolk 0-19 Healthy Child Service and its function is to support the delivery of the Health Visiting and School Nursing services to children and young people across Suffolk, ensuring that families receive a seamless, efficient and timely response. It is also the single point of contact for all clients, staff and stakeholders.

Your role and responsibilities
You will:
- work alongside Health Visitor and School Nurse teams to receive, register and process newly born and newly registered children into the Suffolk area via a computerised system (SystmOne - the computer system used by many Suffolk GP's and Hospitals)
- be responsible for processing these children as required by the relevant service specification, for 0-5 Health Visiting this spans a number of interventions including making appointments for Antenatal and new births through to scheduling 1 and 2 year developmental reviews, ensuring we meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the service
- provide a telephone and email service to clinicians and service users between 08.00 - 17.00.

You will need to:
- work well within a team as well as part of a matrixed team
- be adaptable and quick to learn
- work off your own initiative
- solve problems in a sometimes pressurised environment
- be well organised in planning and working ahead
- have outstanding communications skills for dealing with both internal and external customers
- have good working IT skills to work across a range of software i.e Microsoft packages, SystmOne.
The expectation would be for successful candidate to have the flexibility to be able to offer either an 08:00 start or 17:00 finish for part of their working week
