Full Job Description

To support the Contraception and Sexual Health & Community Gynaecology team in delivering a comprehensive service to the local population. The successful post holder will work under the direction of the lead nurse but contribute to the provision of care by working independently within the asymptomatic screening clinic; CASH walk in clinic and provide chaperoning within the Community Gynaecology clinics. The post holder will deal with the public and demonstrate good customer relations on behalf of the Trust. The post holder will be required to work at main base and at various community sites., A major component of this post is within the clinical setting, assisting with the patient's journey through the clinic, working both independently and as a team member. The post holder has a responsibility to support, promote or develop a culture, which promotes equality & diversity. Prepare, maintain and clear clinical areas as required ensuring these are kept clean and tidy at all times. Be responsible for the day to day management of surgical instruments/supplies equipment. Restock and monitor supplies and equipment on a daily basis, ensuring these are rotated regularly and do not expire. They will inform the nurses when stock is low for re-order. Maintain clinical equipment and environment in good state of repair, reporting faults/defects immediately to the appropriate senior member of the team.
