Full Job Description

We are a busy surgical admissions and day surgery unit working between 2 areas within the Hospital. Staff move daily between areas and are involved in the admission of around 35 -40 patients per day.

It is a fast paced environment but highly rewarding. Training will be given once in post.

Main duties include:-

greeting patients and bringing them to their bed space

taking patient observations

help ensure the patient is ready for a safe transfer to theatre

Ensuring bed spaces are clean and tidy between each patient

Hydration and nutrition of the patient post-operatively

Working closely with the qualified staff to ensure a safe discharge

Ensuring daily/weekly safety checks are completed
