It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle as this position requires travel between multiple locations for which public transport would not be appropriate., The principle role of the Senior Healthcare Assistant is to assist the healthcare team in the provision and delivery of programmes of patient care under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners. This includes:

  • Taking physical or psychological measurements from named clients/service users as delegated by the team.
  • Supporting clients/service users in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
  • Undertaking specified and delegated clinical and therapeutic activities.
  • Under the supervision of healthcare professionals assist the healthcare team with the planning, organising and provision of clinical care.
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in a safe environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals.
  • Assisting Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
  • Accurately recording patient information.
  • Provide support and supervision to other colleagues and learners as appropriate.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Specialist Continence Service as a Senior Health Care Assistant.
  • The post will involve undertaking bladder scans, patient reviews and offering advice and support in the use of continence aids to promote continence in the clinic setting and patients homes. You will be working in partnership with the Continence Lead Nurses, Continence Nurses and Assistant Practitioner to meet the needs of patients whose continence products are no longer suitable and undertake a reassessment. The successful candidate should be willing to undertake the necessary training and development to improve knowledge and practice in bladder and bowel care.
