Full Job Description

The Dermatology Outpatients department is looking for an enthusiastic and competent Health Care Assistant to join our growing team based at New Cross Hospital, supporting Mohs surgery. The post holder must work well within a high performing team, complimenting the exceptional care delivered to patients undergoing surgery for treatment of skin cancer.
The post holder must be able to support the nursing and medical team during clinics, ensuring clinics are set up and running efficiently whilst working with the team to maintain a safe working environment., The post holder will undertake a range of clinic activities under the indirect supervision of registered nurses and band 3 HCA's. These activities include
+ Running of Dermatology clinics, ensuring a consistent flow of patients
+ Chaperoning Consultants/Nurses when needed
+ Assisting in Minor Surgery, with small procedures or as part of a larger team for larger surgery's/Mohs
+ Weekly stocking up and stock checks
+ Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
+ Taking calls from patients with queries and passing them on to the relevant health care professional.
+ Participating in departmental audits and ordering of stock
