Glastonbury Health Centre is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients while carrying out a range of diagnostics to support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care. You will display compassion, empathy, have excellent communication skills and will be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. • Venous blood sampling collection
• Performing blood pressure checks, including fitting 24hr blood pressure monitors fitting, removal and completing referrals where required
• Pulse and temperature checks
• Recording patient height and weight
• Urinalysis
• ECG recording
• Ear checks and syringing
• Spirometry and FeNo
• Diabetes physical checks inc. foot checks
• Vaccinations and IM injections in line with protocol/competencies
• NHS health checks
• Simple wound care
  
  Glastonbury Health Centre is a practice with approximately 6000 patients, we currently have two clinical partners, three salaried GP, three advanced nurse practitioners, and a brilliant nursing team.
100Fold CIC is an established Community Interest Company, recruiting on behalf of Glastonbury Health Centre. Our aim is to provide people and solutions to support local Primary Care; re-investing any surplus into services that benefit the people of Somerset. To date we have created a bank of vaccination staff for the Covid-19 programme and delivered 1000s of vaccines to housebound patients and within vaccination centres. We have been awarded the GP flexible pool contract from the Somerset ICB, to recruit GPs to work with and support GP practices. We are also helping to support the introduction and recruitment of Community Investigation Hubs within Somerset.
