Salary Update
With effect from 1 April 2024, there is a 5.5 per cent consolidated uplift for all Agenda for Change (AfC) staff on NHS terms and conditions. This may change the salary that is advertised on this advert.
The national NHS Employers team are working through the processes required to implement the recently announced new Agenda for Change pay award for 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. Laurel House, Adult Mental Health Recovery Unit is seeking a highly motivated and committed band 3 Health Care Assistant.
Laurel House is a 13 bedded mixed unit, which provides care for people with severe and enduring mental health needs, to help support them to become more independent and live fulfilled lives in the community. The ideal candidate for this post will be seeking an opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping those experiencing mental health difficulties., We provide a service to our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, so we are looking for flexible people who are committed to working a variety of shift patterns to include night shifts, weekends and bank holidays, all year round., You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards. All successful applicants will also have the opportunity to discuss the prospect of undertaking a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship alongside their substantive post. This apprenticeship would include the Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare.
