An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Waltham Forest Rehabilitation Service Ainslie Inpatient Unit for a dynamic, innovative and motivated Health Care Support Worker. The role involves supporting the Inpatient nurses to provide a high standard of nursing in a range of settings outside of acute hospitals. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and will develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks independently. They will also assume responsibility for their workload ensuring that they adhere to North East London Foundation Trusts policies., You will administer holistic care to patients in the Community inpatient setting, identifying and reporting any changes in patient care needs to the nursing staff. The post holder will work as a member of the integrated health and social care team to ensure high quality nursing service provision.

You will demonstrate flexibility, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team member as well as using your own initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
