Full Job Description

Funding provided by Health and Care Research Wales supports NHS Research and Delivery (R&D) Departments led by a R&D Director to provide local services for research support and facilitates the sponsoring and hosting of studies within UHBs across Wales. Part of this service includes a NHS research delivery team consisting of Research Nurses, Senior Research Officers, Research Officers and Administrators, employed by NHS organisations to support the delivery of high quality health and social care studies.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cardiff and Vale University R&D for a Health Care Support Worker to become part of the research delivery team supporting research in Cardiff and Vale.

We are seeking to employ a band 3 Health Care Support Worker support and facilitate the coordination of clinical trialsundertaking both clinicaland administrative tasks that contribute to the daily running of the facility, the safety and care of clinical research participants, and assist the research staff with research activities under the supervision of the Research Delivery Management Team.

The post holder will be dedicated to supporting the Research Delivery team across the UHB., The purpose of a healthcare support worker (HCSW) for the Clinical Research Facility is to support and facilitate the coordination of clinical trials, undertaking both clinical and administrative tasks that contribute to the daily running of the facility, the safety and care of clinical research participants, and assist the research staff with research activities under the supervision of the Research Delivery Management Team

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
