Full Job Description

We are a small community based team that conducts clinics within the COCHC building and we also review patients in their usual residence. There will be the need for the successful applicant to lone work with patients in their usual residence. We are based in the Paybody Annexe building and offer free parking at this site. You can claim any mileage incurred for work placed travel. This role involves contributing to the implementation and deliverance of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) specialist service across Coventry and will include working in a clinic setting as well as lone working in patient's homes. Driving qualification and access to own transport is essential. If you do not have a UK drivers licence or access to a car your application will be rejected.Please be advised that the interviews for this post will take place on 30/01/2025., The Healthcare Assistant will be working alongside Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists and Consultants, and under supervision will support the team in providing optimum patient care, ensuring adherence to Trust policy and procedures at all times. Please refer to the person specification for further information.1. Responsible for own actions, ensuring all patient interactions/observations are communicated to the appropriate healthcare practitioner.2. Inform the appropriate healthcare practitioner of any delegated work which has not been carried out, in addition to any concerns about a patient's condition.3. Undertake agreed clinical and non-clinical tasks, extending range following training in defined practices. Ensure referral to the appropriate healthcare practitioner where appropriate.4. Demonstrate technical and / or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management e.g. cannulation, ECGs , phlebotomy and providing inhaler technique advice where agreed.5. Behave in a professional
manner and promote effective communication and relationships with colleagues and patients.6.
