Full Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and highly motivated individuals to join our friendly nursing team and workin our HIV Networked service to Royal London Hospital. We are a well established acute centre in inner East London with around a 1800 HIV patient cohort. We are situated in a modern clinic at Newham University Hospital for Green way Centre (Sandalwood House) and Sir Ludwig Guttmann Centre in Stratford (previously at Whipps Cross). In your role you will provide support to patients living with HIV infection at all stages under the supervision of Registered nurses. A large part of this role will require you to undertake phlebotomy, for which training will be provided if needed. You will also be required, to offer an asymptomatic sexual health screening on both male and female patients, and again training will be provided in this area We can offer you support in this interesting and challenging job including: · Personal and professional development, including attending conferences · Education and training opportunities to help you meet our nursing assistant competencies · Friendly, supportive and progressive team · Small friendly team, with the clinical support of experienced senior nurses. The Health Care Support Worker is a member of the ward team who implements prescribed care and undertakes administrative as directed by the registered nurse to:

  • Assists in the provision of high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure the department is clean and well stocked.
  • Participate in activities/projects that contribute to improved patient care or experience.
  • The nursing Assistant is proactive in monitoring and anticipating patients needs within their boundaries.
