Full Job Description

The Health Records Clerk will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the casenotes are at the right place at the right time.

To actively promote the vision for the Health Records service working towards a Digital Records future and support the delivery of modernisation plans for Health Records. This will require the post holder to support with the delivery of the Health Records Operational Plan by supporting the Health Records Co-ordinator/ Assistant Site Manager.

Do you have an eye for detail and accuracy and do you have proven communication skills?If so then we would like to hear from you in connection to our Health Records vacancy . The Records department provides an essential support service. This is not your typical administrative post. The duties are predominantly centred around the physical retrieval, filing and preparation of case notes in conjunction with an efficient and professional outpatient reception service. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of case notes for patient care both Outpatient and Acute ensuring that all case notes are delivered and prepared to Service Level agreements.The post holder will be expected to undertake weeding of existing case notes in line with the organisations Retention and Destruction Policy, ensuring that the Patient tracking system is accurate and up to date.This is a very busy department and we work to tight deadlines in completion of our work therefore it is essential that your
application demonstrates good communication, ability to work to tight deadlines, ability to work under your own initiative and ability to prioritise your workload with a high level of accuracy (please see job description and person specification for full details).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
