Full Job Description
As a professional advisor working across the organisation with some freedom to act and interpretation of legislation/policy/procedures, the post holder(s) will play a role in supporting the Health & Safety Managers & the Head of Health & Safety, ensuring that Health & Safety effectively contributes to the corporate objectives and strategic direction of the Health Board, working within the framework of good corporate governance. The post holder will have expert/specialist knowledge in the area of Health & Safety., As a professional advisor working across the organisation with some freedom to act and interpretation of legislation/policy/procedures, the post holder will play a role in supporting the Health & Safety Managers & the Head of Health & Safety, ensuring that Health & Safety effectively contributes to the corporate objectives and strategic direction of the Health Board, working within the framework of good corporate governance. The post holder will have expert/specialist knowledge in the area of Health & Safety.
The post holder will assist the Health & Safety Manager to ensure the organisation's defined arrangements for the management of health & safety are being carried out and they will assist in managing the Health Board's statutory and best practice provision that includes; co-ordinating, developing, planning, communicating, training and monitoring in all relevant aspects of health & safety.
The post holder will assist with the work in the development and implementation of a long term, standard & consistent approach to Corporate Safety Planning and will assist with the co-ordination and development of safety related policies, protocols, procedures and guidelines.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
