Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) advisor to join a well-established facilities maintenance provider. This role is key to supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture across a broad portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing across multiple locations.,

  • Develop and promote a proactive EHS culture aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on all aspects of EHS to management teams, staff, and supply chain partners.
  • Manage and report all EHS incidents, ensuring timely investigations, corrective actions, and shared learning outcomes.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with EHS legislation, standards, and internal policies.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, supporting operational teams with pre-audit preparation and corrective action implementation.
  • Advise on legal compliance in areas such as electrical distribution, pressure systems, confined spaces, gas safety, water quality, and F-Gas compliance.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability goals, including waste reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Deliver EHS training to ensure competence levels are maintained across teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide support for project safety, including compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.

    Qualifications: NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent, IEMA (or similar) in environmental awareness. Membership of IOSH is desirable.
  • Experience: At least three years in an EHS role, with experience in regulated environments. Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 45003) and auditing processes is essential.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of EHS legislation, CDM2015, and BS 5975 standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and networking skills with the ability to work independently and inspire teams.
  • Attributes: Methodical, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. A supportive and empathetic team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good IT skills and understanding of quality management systems and risk management principles.

    Competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum
