Full Job Description
Health and Safety Advisor required to join a leading multi-national Hard/Technical Facilities Management company. You will be focussed on clients within the education sector, including schools, colleges and universities mainly across London and the Northern Home Counties. Travel further afield will be required occasionally.
The role focuses on supporting on site engineers and facilities support services. You will promote compliance, assess risks and embed a culture of safety and quality.
This role will suit someone in the earlier stages of their career, with existing experience in a Health and Safety advisory role
Responsibilities include:
Conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments across multiple education sites.
Providing advice and guidance on health and Safety matters, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices.
Developing, implementing and monitoring Health and Safety policies, systems and procedures.
Delivering safety training and promoting awareness programs to staff and stakeholders.
Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Monitoring and reporting on environmental performance, working towards sustainability targets.
Liaising with leadership teams, contractor and external regulatory bodies to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
A relevant qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent).
Experience
This role will suit someone in the earlier stages of their career, with existing experience in a Health and Safety advisory role.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, regulations and best practices.
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Some soft and hard facilities management experience would be beneficial.
Full UK driving license (essential, as travel is required).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
The role is paying £35k-£40k plus benefits.
