Who you areAs a Health and Safety Advisor, strong communication skills are essential for building effective relationships within EDF and across the construction industry. You should be results-driven, collaborative, and adept at identifying risks quickly, while communicating complex issues clearly. Your ability to engage others on technical topics and simplify complex concepts will help foster understanding and skill development within the team. A practical approach to problem-solving, combined with knowledge of large organisational and site operations, is key. Key qualifications for this role include a, solid understanding of national and international HSE
standards, as well as the CDM Regulations, A proven record of achieving excellent safety outcomes on major engineering and construction projects. Experience managing health and safety in high-risk environments and coordinating between contractors to resolve safety interface issues is critical. Are you experienced in engaging with diverse teams to foster a strong culture of safety and compliance? Are you skilled at translating complex health and safety regulations into actionable strategies that drive continuous improvement and likes to be challenged? The OpportunityAs a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll provide expert advice and support to the Hinkley Point C (HPC) CDM Client and Principal Contractor management teams, ensuring the highest safety standards. You'll work collaboratively, offering technical guidance on health and safety matters, while conducting risk-based monitoring. Your role will contribute to EDF Energy's commitment to achieving zero harm by supporting safety programs and ensuring compliance across the project.
