Health and Safety Apprentice

Location: Based at Ferham House, Rotherham, S61 1AJ (will support the Health and Safety team during Audits and training at various Exemplar Health Care Homes), As a Health and Safety Apprentice with Exemplar Health Care, you'll work with the Health and Safety Team, as well as other teams and services of the organisation to help advise on statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements as they affect our operations.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• engaging in Health and Safety training and job shadowing with the Health & Safety Inspectors to develop expertise in the field


• collaborating with employees and management to foster a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation


• maintaining records on Health and Safety Inspections, Fire Risk Assessments, RIDDOR reports and training activities


• assisting in reviewing and updating Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards


• producing documents, reports, and presentations for the Health and Safety team and Senior Management


• inputting Health and Safety related actions on the Incident Reporting platform 'RADAR'


• taking minutes and set agendas for monthly safety meetings


• performing other ad hoc administrative duties as assigned


• liaising with the other members of the Health and Safety team and the wider organisation with regards to Health and Safety.
