Full Job Description

· Working with/supporting our H&S Manager in the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the H&S management system.

· Review RAMS and safe systems of work.

· Carry out site H&S inspections to identify unsafe equipment, working conditions, practices, fire hazards and then produce reports using I Auditor software with recommendations regarding the correction of any noncompliance.

· Willingness to regularly travel to construction sites nationwide, which will include overnight stays.

· Manage accident and incident reporting and associated paperwork.

· Attend H&S meetings with Senior Managers and Directors.

· Produce and present reports for management review of all data and trends analysis and work with all employees as necessary to achieve KPI's.

· Assist in the implementation of the Health & Safety Management System to BS ISO 45001: 2018.

· Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties required to support the Health and Safety Manager and Directors as required.

· Do you have a real passion for H&S and ideally have experience of working in a similar health and safety role within the Construction Industry and prepared to proactively develop as a H&S professional, undertaking a programme of training and continuing professional development.

· Do you hold a NEBOSH National Construction Certificate (or working towards it), in addition Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (would be an advantage).

· Do you have the ability to engage and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and contractors.

· Are you Self-motivated, tenacious and have the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced ever changing environment.

· Are you approachable with the ability to work with employees and managers in a supportive/collaborative way.

· Are you computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Packages

· Are you a well organised, professional and able to work under pressure.

· You will be responsible for achieving objectives on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.

· Are you able to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.

· Do you have a good understanding of legal requirements and compliance.

· Do you hold a full valid driving licence.
