Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Health and Safety team. You will work closely with key stakeholders to provide Health and Safety administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager. You will also support the Health and Safety initiatives across all the Wellocks sites. This role will have rotating hours to provide support to all our shifts which are: Week 1: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:00pm-10:30pm, Thursday 12:00pm-8:30pm and Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. What you will do: Health and Safety Administration -

  • Ensure suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures are kept up to date.
  • Monitor accident and incident rates ensuring incidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner, keeping trackers up to date and supporting managers with investigations and closing corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Carry out Health and Safety audits at all sites, keep trackers up to date and assist Managers to close out corrective actions.
  • Monitor first aid supplies at all sites and order supplies as and when required.
  • Order personal protective equipment.
  • Arrange Health Surveillance and Occupational Health appointments.
  • Procedures and Policies -
  • Support the Health and Safety Manager with the creation and implementation of company procedures and processes and keeping procedures up to date.
  • In conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager, develop and facilitate toolbox talks on Health & Safety matters.
  • Training & Development -
  • Assign and arrange training and keep training matrix and plans up to date.
  • Conduct Health and Safety induction training for new employees.
  • Work alongside operational teams to improve working environment and create positive safety attitudes and culture.
  • Facilitate and participate in the Health & Safety committee.

    IOSH Managing Safety or other Health and Safety industry recognised qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience working in a Health and Safety role is desirable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Flexible, highly motivated, proactive and 'can-do' working style.
  • Experience in operational procedures and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making & problem solving skills.
