Full Job Description

Ashville College, Harrogate, is looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator who is also able to lead on the delivery of Educational Visits.

You will be responsible for advising staff across the College on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) matters, and some key activities include undertaking reviews of risk assessments, and sourcing appropriate HSE training for staff.

In addition, you will set policy standards and ensure compliance for national and international trips and visits, and supportand advise Trip Leaders, to ensure that all are delivered to high standards, safely and within agreed budgets.

The successful applicant will be GradIOSH level or be willing to work towards this certification (having either an IOSH or NEGOSH General Certificate) and will have experience of working in an organisation with multiple hazards. You should have a good attention to detail to analyse assessments, and demonstrate an ability to establish good working relationships with internal and external customers.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, full year. The salary for this role is £40,000 per annum.
