Full Job Description
As a Locality Manager you will manage skills mix Health Visiting team, whilst working closely with Keywork and Community staff so you will require a sound knowledge of public health, safeguarding and working with complex families. We will offer you a high level of management support and you will work closely with your Locality, Practice and Community Support Manager colleagues and Operations Manager to further develop the integrated services. You will need an appropriate professional qualification and significant experience of working with children and families. You will provide and receive high quality regular supervision in line with the ESHT and ESCC Early Help policies and procedures., East Sussex County Council in partnership with East Sussex Healthcare Trust is one of 75 Local Authorities to have been awarded government funding to establish a Start for Life Strategy and Family Hubs Programme for children aged 0 - 19.
This funding will allow us to develop services to give babies, children and their families the very best start in life with a focus on Parent Infant Relationships, Infant Feeding, supporting Children with Additional Needs and Parenting Strategies. + A market supplement for all qualified nurses working in health visiting teams at Band 6 and above. The market supplement will be provided via a monthly payment, equivalent to 10% of your salary for a period of 1 year from Sep 2022 -Aug 2023 with opportunity for review.
+ The opportunity to work closely with specialist services, keyworkers and other partners supporting your families; signposting and referring to services based on the unique needs of the families you work with, such as Toddler Talk, parenting courses, baby groups, volunteering, life skills. You will be able to continue to develop your knowledge of safeguarding children, recognising concerns and how to escalate them appropriately, providing preventative and educative support for families.
+ You will be working as part of an integrated NHS-County Council team with access to good quality resources and training, development opportunities via delivery of clinical supervision and champion roles and involvement in service development and quality improvement via working groups and audit., + The healthcare provider of first choice for the people of East Sussex.

We are looking for a highly motivated Health Visiting Locality Managers to join our leadership team which consists of both ESCC and ESHT managers. Your role will be to support, motivate and inspire the skills mix team which consists of administrators, Community Nursery Nurses, Community Staff Nurses, Health Visitors and Practice Educators to deliver a high quality Healthy Child Programme.

Our extensive health services are provided by over 7,000 dedicated members of staff working from two acute hospitals in Hastings and Eastbourne, three community hospitals in Bexhill, Rye and Uckfield, over 100 community sites across East Sussex, and in people's own homes.
