Full Job Description

Winchester college is seeking an experienced manager to join the Health and Wellbeing team and lead the function as the school prepares to welcome Sixth Form girl boarders from 2026. With a newly refurbished Health and Wellbeing centre located in the heart of the school, the team in entering a new and exciting phase of its development.

Organisation

The position is based in the Health and Wellbeing Centre on Kingsgate Street, at the heart of the School campus. The role reports directly to the Deputy Head Pastoral and will assume overall responsibility for the Health and Wellbeing team, working in close collaboration with the Lead Nurse.

The school is expanding and entering a phase of strategic planning for the future which will see a need for greater structure and operational effectiveness in core areas. The Health and Wellbeing Centre is an essential part of the offering for pupils.

The Health and Wellbeing Centre Manager should liaise closely with (internally): Pupils, pastoral staff including the Surmaster Pastoral, Chaplains, Safeguarding team, boarding staff plus SMT; and (externally) Parents and Guardians, relevant professional bodies, children's services and other statutory bodies, and professional counterparts in other similar schools.
