Full Job Description

  • To assist in providing nursing care as delegated by the Senior Sister/Team Sister within patient's homes.
  • To maintain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of patients.
  • To provide clerical and administrative support to the team as delegated by the Senior Sister/Teaam Sister.
  • To undertake the technical aspects of nursing care e.g. Dressings, glucose monitoring etc. following a period of training and when deemed competent to do so.
  • To implement evidence-based nursing care, within the patient's home.
  • To have the ability to work unsupervised, planning and organising tasks and home visits as delegated by the nurse in charge.
  • Maintain accurate and legible patient records in line with professional and organisational requirements - this includes electronic patient record system (CIS) and any paper records

    This is an opportunity to put your NVQ level 2/3 or the equivalent appropriate qualification/experience to great use. With strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
  • In this role, you will need to be able to travel across the patch in a timely manner so a UK driving license is needed and access to a car. You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
