Full Job Description

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team alongside our qualified staff, you'll help to meet the psychological and emotional needs of a diverse group of individuals, with varying degrees of either mental health or physical issues. Every day, you'll make a positive difference to their lives.

Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK., Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies
Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
Manage some behaviours that challenge
Assistant and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks
Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
Analyse an individual's needs and draw up a focused support plan

Priory Hospital Newbury, located in Newbury, Berkshire, is a high dependency rehabilitation and recovery (R&R) service and Mixed Acute ward. We can support male patients with mental health needs, who are working towards a life back in the community. We provide 34 beds within a peaceful environment and we are well-placed to accept patients who need higher levels of care and intensive therapeutic support. Outstanding CQC Service

Pay rate: £12.00 per hour
Available shifts: Days 7.30am to 8.00pm, Nights 7.30pm to 8.00am. Would consider part time with a minimim of 2 shifts per week
