Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to work with the DCHS wound clinic in Derby City. The successful applicant will be willing to assist in all aspects of patient care supporting Wound Clinic Staff Nurses in managing patients especially cleansing legs and removing dressings. The role will require adherence to ANTT protocols and following IP&C guidelines in the clinical setting., As a clinical worker it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way. For this role you will be required to manage, prioritise and organise your day supporting clinical treatment rooms and patients.
It is essential that you have a keen interest and previous caring experience. The successful candidate will ideally hold a health related NVQ or equivalent. The ability to manage stock ordering and stock rotation. For this role you must have ANTT training or be willing to undertake this training if successful. If you can demonstrate good communication skills, have the ability to manage risk and work effectively as part of a team we want to hear from you. You will be required to travel across different locations in order to fulfil the role, so access to a vehicle which can be used for work purposes or being able to travel as required to meet the needs of the service is essential., You will need to be a team player, with the ability to work autonomously when necessary and be able to use initiative to seek support from the team. This role will require people with highly developed : interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), organisational and technical skills with previous experience of using electronic care systems. You will have a flexible approach to work. - GCSE English and Maths Grade C or equivalent qualification
- Venepuncture course or willingness to undertake the training
- Knowledge of ANTT or willingness to undertake the training, Ability to travel is essential for this post as there is an expectation to travel to other clinics across Derbyshire to carry out the required duties

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
