Full Job Description

As a Community Assessment and Treatment Unit we have been developing our skills and have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to recruit more Healthcare Assistants to join our nursing team at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills on a brand new, refurbished Clinical Assessment and Treatment Unit. The Unit supports the Acute Hospital with highly dependent medical admissions. You will work with a MDT to support safe discharges., This role is an entry level post within Cornwall Foundation Trust for colleagues developing into future Healthcare Assistant aligned posts. The post holder will be required to: o General social interaction with patients, talking, observing and escalating concerns o Supporting patients with meals including preparation and service o Assisting patients with personal care o Support wider team with domestic and housekeeping duties o Meeting and greeting o Putting away stock o Carrying out and supporting with other duties our trained and experienced staff need completing oTo report any concerns or issues to the manager in charge o To make or receive telephones calls

This is a permanent contract undertaking a range of Night duties 19:30- 08:00 hours and Long days 07:30 - 20:00 hours on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week.
