The successful candidate will demonstrate high standards in patient care, infection control and communication. They will partake in ensuring that the unit is to a high standard and is safe for both patients and staff by working with our housekeepers, nurses, doctors and physiotherapists.
A positive attitude to change is essential as we look to the future. We also encourage cross-site working as much as possible as we align both teams and to give a more varied learning experience.
Teamworking is essential, as well as excellent communication skills.

Working for our organisation
You will be working within a specialised environment along side a team of registered nurses, physiotherapist and medical team with skill, knowledge and qualifications within the specialism of critical care. You will be under supervision of a registered nurse and supernumerary nurse in charge, with a designated ward manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Healthcare Assistants to join our dynamic Critical Care teams at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Prior acute hospital care experience is essential for this post.
The post holder will have relevant experience in acute care and will provide support and assist Registered Nurses delivering all aspects of health care directly to critically unwell patients, within defined levels of competence and practice. The post holder will be assisting the delivery of the high-quality specialised care required to meet the needs of the critically ill patients. This will include assisting in maintaining a suitable environment in which to deliver that care.
The role involves shift work, 12 hour shifts which are days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
The minimum educational requirements for this role are GCSE's at Grade 9 - 4 in Maths and English/ Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy.
