Due to the expansion of the Emergency Department we are actively recruiting Trainee Band 3 HCA's. In the Emergency Department the Band 3 HCA will be responsible for supporting nursing and medical staff in the assessment process within the ED. The HCA will be expected to carry out specific tasks as allocated by RN/Nurse in charge of area. You will need to be dynamic and enthusiastic in your role, as the ED is fast paced and is faced with new challenges every day. You need to be able to work within the trust values.We are a dynamic well lead department recruiting to increase our team ready for moving into the new hospital. Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust., The band 3 HCA is a key member of the Emergency Department Team. You will provide a high standard of nursing care and use your extended skills to enhance the patient journey through the department.

You will work closely with medical and nursing staff across the emergency floor You will be competent in your extended skills. These skills include recording of ECG's, venepuncture, cannulation, basic nursing care, dressings and assisting in the movement of patients through the different areas of the department. You will have the opportunity to develop in your role and have opportunities to learn skills and knowledge and progress.
