Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 HCA to join a team of happy and enthusiastic staff at the Minor Injury Unit at Caterham Dene Hospital.

The Caterham Minor Injury Unit is situated at Caterham Dene Community Hospital the Unit is nurse-led, providing a service for the treatment of patients presenting with minor injuries and minor medical conditions. It is open 365 days a year from 8am to 8pm.

If you have any questions about the role, please get in touch, our preferred method of contact is by email., The successful applicant needs to have experience in an emergency care or primary care setting and must have experience in wound dressing and management, performing patient observations including neurological observations and diagnostic testing. They must have skills in applying all types of splints, including basic casting and various supports and treatments for patients and have a good understanding of health education for patients.

We have a wound dressing clinic that offers appointments for follow dressing from MIU and sees patients that Practice Nurses are unable to give and appointment.

The post is joining our staff bank covering days off, annual and sickness, so ad-hoc hours.
