Full Job Description

Shifts: 37.5 Hours a week over 7 days, 7:45pm - 8:15am (4 week rolling rota) Car Owner/driver required due to location (SO40 4DA) Set within beautiful, landscaped gardens, Priory Hospital Southampton's tranquil environment offers therapeutic and recovery-focused residential treatment for those suffering from a number of mental health conditions. We can support adult patients with acute mental health needs, as well as eating disorders. Our Healthcare Division offers a variety of services including Mental Health, Addictions, Brain Injury and Rehabilitation and Recovery treatment plans. At Priory, you'll be part of a closeknit and diverse team that helps individuals day to day, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You will help people reach their full potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives. Your own positive attitude and genuine passion for providing high quality care and support will be integral to the culture of our teams. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.,

  • Support service userswith in-house activities and hobbies
  • Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
  • Manage some behaviours that challenge
  • Assistand support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
  • Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
  • Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication
  • Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
  • Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support

    Whilst previous experience is a plus, the key things you need to excel in this role are empathy and a passion for caring and a strong sense of responsibility.
