Healthcare Assistant - Prevention Services

The Prevention Service is delighted to be recruiting Healthcare Assistants to support with the roll out of health checks within the community. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in providing health checks whilst promoting healthy lifestyle choices. The successful candidate will be caring, reliable and enthusiastic. They will have good written and verbal communication skills and strong organisation and time management skills. They will be highly motivated and proactive, keen to work and learn as part of a team and committed to supporting people., Responsible for undertaking health checks to targeted groups of individuals within the community and signposting them to various support and educational resources on healthy lifestyles and choices. Specific pathways for escalation will be followed, with remote support provided from the Prevention Services management team and a Supervisory GP. Health checks include height, weight and BMI checks. Cholesterol testing, healthy lifestyle choices and advice as well as signposting to relevant services.
