Full Job Description

Due to service expansion in Theatres we are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our busy team. Main duties include:

Assisting the registered perioperative practitioner in the assessment, planning and delivery of patient care, including the daily preparation of theatres and 'circulating' duties

Performing circulating role for minor and intermediate and major surgical procedures

The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be an enthusiastic, dedicated team player. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential as comprehensive Trust and local induction/training is available.

Specialties here include: Major open surgery, laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery in Colorectal, Urology, Gynae Oncology, Hepatobiliary, and Upper GI.

Breast Surgery, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics, Major Head and Neck and ENT including oncology, Trauma & Orthopaedics and CEPOD.

We are the Regional referral centre for Upper GI work, including emergency Oesophagogastric cases.
