Full Job Description
The role of a Healthcare Assistant within the ophthalmology department, is an exciting role in which you are involved in the care of the patients and their families who are attending with acute ophthalmic conditions and long-standing ophthalmic conditions. You will be involved in taking and recording of visual acuity and ocular pressure tests in which the medical team can interpret to make a diagnosis for the patient., You will be working within a highly skilled nursing team within the Ophthalmology Nursing Department.
You with be taking of various ophthalmic diagnostics tests and supporting patients to complete these tests
You will also have opportunity to support and assist the medical team, while they examine patients
You will also be supporting patients who require assistance while they are in the clinic environment
