Healthcare Scientist (Paediatrics)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team.

The Healthcare Scientist will play a key role in our healthcare services, conducting diagnostic tests, clinical research, and providing support for medical investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research, analytical skills, and a passion for improving patient care.

Main duties of the job

To work in paediatric services for lung function and sleep investigations.

Undertakes a wide range of both simple and highly complex procedures in Sleep and lung function testing, Set-up, download and analyse inpatient and domiciliary respiratory sleep studies.

Reporting from simple to complex assessments in Sleep and lung function testing To maintain, calibrate and disinfect the equipment according to Trust and departmental policy.

The trust also provides care for patients from a larger catchment area in southeast England, for specialties such as complex pelvic trauma. Other services treat patients from all over the country, such as family HIV care and bone marrow transplantation for non-cancer diseases.
