Full Job Description
Our nursing team is small, skilled and friendly. We work within a busy specialist ambulatory care setting, comprising of a 30-room outpatient department at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. We facilitate the ongoing care and management of patients with chronic diseases including Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, thoracic oncology, pre-and-post cardiac and lung transplantation and cardiac failure patients. We work as part of a number of multidisciplinary teams in a constantly evolving and innovative ambulatory care setting.
The successful applicant will preferably have previous ambulatory care experience or a willingness to learn how to prioritise care and competing demands in a complex clinical environment., Ideally we would like dynamic individuals who have already demonstrated continued development within the HCSW role and have skills in venepuncture, ECG's, observations and managing patients within permitted guidelines. You will also need to have some IT skills and be able to effectively document into our EPR system.
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience in a Healthcare Support Worker Role, however, we will consider those with no previous experience and place on band 2 until all band 3 training and competencies achieved.
